Patrona Corporation, a woman-owned, small dis-advantaged (8(a) certified) business, is looking for dynamic individuals to support Naval Sea Systems Command’s submarine  life cycle management and acquisition programs at the Washington Navy Yard and other naval facilities.  

1.  Positions include program analysts, SUBSAFE/QA auditors, system engineers and senior management analysts.  Applicants for program analysts and system engineers should have a minimum of one year professional experience for degreed individuals and a minimum of five years experience with the operation and support of ship systems at the operational, intermediate and depot levels for non-degreed individuals. 

Also sought are applicants experienced with program management and SUBSAFE/QA/DSS-SOC processes and requirements at the waterfront, shipyard, and fleet and headquarters level.  Experience with policies and practices IAW NAVSEA 0924-062-0010 (SUBSAFE Requirements Manual), NAVSEA SS800-AG-MAN-010/P-9290 (System Certification Procedures and Criteria Manual for Deep Submergence Systems), and NAVSEAINST 0948-LP-045-7010 (Material Control Standard; Non-Nuclear) sought.   Some travel required.  Depending on clients’ needs, some telework and/or virtual office may be possible. 

2.   Patrona Corporation also is looking for dynamic individuals to support projects with the Department of the Navy:

Non-engineers:  Applicants should have a minimum of a BA/BS, demonstrated organizational skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and demonstrated Microsoft Office skills.  One year’s experience in a professional environment considered a plus.  Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance, level of which depends on client’s requirements.  Work sites are located in the Washington, DC area.  Some travel required.  Depending on clients’ needs, some telework and/or virtual office may be possible.

Engineers:  Applicants should have a minimum of a BS (mechanical, electrical, marine, materials, etc.), demonstrated organizational skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and demonstrated Microsoft Office skills.  One year’s experience in a professional environment considered a plus. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance, level of which depends on client’s requirements.  Work sites are located in the Washington, DC area.  Some travel required.  Depending on clients’ needs, some telework and/or virtual office may be possible. 

Also looking for military and civilian applicants with submarine life cycle management experience to support Naval Sea Systems Command acquisition and in-service projects.  Applicants should have a minimum of five years experience with the operation and support of ship systems at the shipboard, intermediate and depot levels.  Also sought are applicants with program management experience at the waterfront, shipyard, and fleet and headquarters level.  Experience with, ship design, construction, logistics support and budget planning and execution also sought.  Navy Nuclear Power background considered a plus.  SUBSAFE and DSS/SOC certification background considered a plus.

Furthermore, Patrona is seeking dynamic individuals (military and civilian) with experience supporting NUWC Newport Division.  Applicants should have experience with the program management and post development engineering support of Submarine Combat, Command and Control systems (SWFTS, sensor, combat, acoustic, navigation, payload and platform) including systems engineering, ILS and CM products and services.   

Compensation: Varies based on experience

Required Skills:
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical or business fields or a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

Clearance:
Must be able to obtain at least a DoD SECRET clearance
