Former Navy Captain Appointed as Patrona Corporation’s  Chief Operating Officer

Patrona Corporation today announces the appointment of Neil Stubits, the recently retired Commander of Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC)- Indian Head, as its Chief Operating Officer.   Stubits will oversee Patrona’s operations.

Prior to joining Patrona Corporation, Stubits was the U.S. Navy Commander in charge of the Indian Head Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC)  and brings Patrona 27 years of leadership and management experience at the corporate level within the Department of Defense (DOD).  His military experience is extensive and spans from waterfront and depot maintenance and modernization to command at a NSWC Field Activity where he oversaw research, development, testing and manufacturing of propellants and explosives for weapons systems.

“Neil is a great addition to our team,” says Joseph Novak, President, Patrona Corporation.  “He brings the right combination of program management, technical expertise and leadership that will enhance Patrona’s position in the DOD market.  Neil’s addition to the Patrona team enables us to expand our service offerings to the U.S. Navy and DoD and positions Patrona to move to a new level in terms of growth and expansion.”

“Patrona has grown tremendously since its inception in 2005 in supporting and expanding its presence in the U.S. Navy,” comments Stubits.   “I am very excited about the opportunity to establish Patrona as the small business of choice throughout the Navy and beyond.”

Stubits received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is also a member of the Acquisition Professional Community.
